Covid-19 Survey for the creative and cultural sectors in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK, we have been involved in facilitating the Baseline. survey: an initiative to gather data from businesses and individuals working in the creative and cultural sectors about the impact of the pandemic and the lockdown measures imposed in response to it.
You can now read a full report on the data gathered from 31st March to 4th July. Through this period, which includes the imposition of the most disruptive lockdown measures in the UK, the survey received 216 responses. The sample represented a diverse array of respondents from the length and breadth of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and many corners of the creative and cultural sectors.
What happens next?
The data gathered through this survey, in combination with other data-gathering initiatives, will be instrumental in advocating for the sector as we seek to restore its vitality. One of the key recommendations of the report is to update and open the survey again in the winter. We’re currently planning a follow-up survey in the new year to assess the impact of the second lockdown and will share further details through our networks and mailing list as soon as we are able to.
