How do we nurture Cornish talent and ensure that there are pathways into the creative industries for everyone? Do you believe that new ideas are key to the success of your business and the creative industries in Cornwall? Are you interested in exploring how you can be supported to create opportunities for people with passion and talent from diverse backgrounds? As part of the Brave Recruitment programme, RIO are delivering a series of workshops to shine a light on recruitment practices. Kicking off with a session on creating an equality and diversity action plan (16th January), the programme will continue through the first quarter of 2019 with further events and opportunities.

Come to this skills session where you can gain real tools to answer these questions and use governance to affect real change in your business. Delivered by RIO and the Zebra Collective, this session will equip you with the tools and resources to ensure you are meeting legal obligations, have an active equality & diversity action plan model and know where to access further support.

Come to this skills session where you can gain real tools to answer these questions and implement authentic diversity in what you do. Using RIO’s WorkAble model we will explore how you can make changes to the way that you recruit. From your wording in job adverts and descriptions to the way that you receive applications and CVs and carry out interviews, we will look at ways to be more accessible and ensure that you’re reaching the emerging talent that’s out there waiting to develop your organisation into a truly diverse employer.

Do you want to get better at engaging audiences through digital media?  Find out how to capitalise on the creativity already in your business to increase digital capacity?  Have a real sense of obvious changes you can make now?

A relevant and engaging digital engagement strategy is a priority for any business to succeed in the current market. This session will equip you with the tools and resources to develop your strategy into one that is engaging and innovative to your current and future audiences.  This session will be delivered by LEAP – a certified B Corp design studio based here in Cornwall that believes in designing with purpose and creating work that matters.
