Hannah will lead participants through an enjoyable and inspiring workshop which will consider how to identify the right partners (and countries), showcasing opportunities, budgeting – including hidden costs, types of deals, negotiation & contracts. You’ll also learn about how Arts Council & British Council can support you financially as well as all the practicalities of taking your work abroad. The session will include advice on:

About Hannah Simmons
Hannah Simmons is the International Projects Producer at Farnham Maltings Theatre and has extensive experience working on international projects, tours and other initiatives. Current projects include showcasing England based artists at PuSh Festival in Vancouver and ACT Festival in Shanghai, a series of collaborative residencies in Seoul and producing a UK tour of Factory Girl by South Korean company, Yangson. Farnham Maltings also have a sister company, Theatre Passe Muraille, in Toronto, Canada with whom they regularly exchange work and develop joint projects.
Through their international project, caravan, Farnham Maltings encourage England based theatre-makers to think and work internationally. The project encompasses a biennial showcase in partnership with Brighton Festival, on-going and one-off projects with international partners and professional development opportunities for artists. The next showcase will be held in 2020.
