Visual Multi-layered Thinking with Footnotes VMT

What can we learn from a trifle? Find out by coming along to these two sessions from Footnotes VMT. These two workshop days with Oliver West will focus on various personal management strategies from the Footnotes Visual Multilayered Thinking Programme, which can enable big picture thinking in all aspects of life.

Session 1 (10th January)

Krowji, Redruth

First of all, you’ll explore how your visual thinking muscles work for you, and how your visual/kinesthetic/auditory balance ticks in the background. This session will give you a taste of what’s possible with VMT. If you decide it’s not to you then there is no obligation to come to the follow-up.

Session 2 (24th January)

Lilly’s of Truro, Truro

The second session will develop further the use of the Footnotes techniques for specific tasks, offering a bespoke approach so that the inherent needs of each delegate are addressed in a real-life practical way.

These sessions will help you to:

– See the “big picture”

– Harness inherent visual multilayered thinking skills, for good

– Learn about how to structure and organise your thoughts and ideas in a visual way

– Scrap the endless task list, and develop powerful strategies that help you think bigger and more visually

What is VMT?

Visual Multilayered Thinking, or ‘VMT’, is a way of thinking that isn’t necessarily word-based or linear. Words often talk about what you already know; whereas VMT thinking can give a person the opportunity to consider, create and discover something new and significant. For many people (Einstein for example) this type of thinking comes naturally. Harnessing the power of VMT can help you with big picture thinking, and to organise your thoughts in a way that makes sense to you.

About Footnotes…

Footnotes VMT brings understanding to the ways that people think and act individually, helping them to awaken and properly utilise these skills. Through visual techniques and activities, Footnotes VMT teaches the ability to understand and express one’s thoughts and feelings in a visual multi-layered way. We believe that, like Einstein, a very large percentage of the population are natural visual multi-layered thinkers. We want to help these people to harness the power inherent in this style of thinking. VMT principle can be applied to a variety of different spheres, from education and enterprise to communication and community. Footnotes techniques are based upon the idea that all individuals are uniquely wired and require varied and responsive settings in which to excel. These strategies can be accessed by any individual at any age or stage of life and can be immediately effective.

This skills session includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
