The charity, led by Don Gardner and made famous on Cornwall with Simon Reeve, distributes food to those who need it most in Camborne, Pool and Redruth. They have over 50 volunteers helping weekly to distribute around 23,000 meals to over 540 families.
The Community Food Store delivers to families and those in need who are able to cook for themselves, on a Wednesday daytime and the shopping is a week’s worth of basic items.
