I also have first-hand experience of being a self-employed creative in Cornwall to draw upon (largely as a musician), with highlights being supporting major artists such as Madness and Sugarhill Gang and playing corporate events for companies such as ITV, BBC, and Carlsberg. I still average around 60 gigs per year alongside undertaking regular work in songwriting, recording, management, booking, communications, and promotion.
I studied Piano, Singing and Music Theory with the Royal Schools of Music and have a BA(Hons) Degree in Commercial Music. I have 10 years of experience working as a Lecturer, Educational Manager, Teacher, Workshop Leader and Examiner since studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I have a keen interest in fostering a love for the arts in others, empowering people to pursue a creative career, and maximizing business potential. I am also an ILM qualified Leader and Manager with a strategic approach to achieving goals and realising projects.
